Royal guest for disabled riders

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 8th Apr 2008

The Princess Royal is to visit a horse riding centre for the disabled to mark its 10th birthday.

In 1998 Princess Anne officially opened the Unicorn Centre in Hemlington, Middlesbrough, and on Tuesday she returns to mark the milestone.

The Princess Royal has been president for 22 years of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), which was officially formed in 1969.

A plaque at the centre is being unveiled to mark the event.
