"Dangerous nonsense about paracetamol" - Davey

Lib Dem leader Ed Davey has blasted fearmongering around autism from Donald Trump.

“First Trump slashed funding for vaccines research now he's peddling dangerous nonsense about paracetamol,” he said today.

“The UK should take on Trump's anti-science agenda and open our doors to US researchers.”

The comments follow the US President spreading the idea that autism is caused by taking paracetamol during pregnancy and suggesting that stopping that practice would provide “an answer to autism”.
