Following an invitation to Westminster from Chloe Smith MP, our interim Chair, Julie Adnams Hatch, attended the launch of a paper on Improving Disabled Representation in Parliament on Tuesday, 1st March 2022. It was reasonably well-attended, despite the travel difficulties caused by the tube strike, and was a great opportunity to also meet with a variety of other disability activists, including Barry Ginley, Chair of the Conservative Disability Group.

Collectively, we agreed that a cross-party working group would be a good way forward.

Whilst there, Julie also met with Wendy Chamberlain MP, our spokesperson on Work and Pensions. It was a good opportunity to chat overcoffee and look at some options for a strong campaign we hope to run following the May elections.
