The ability to obtain advanced rheumatoid arthritis drugs on the NHS is still determined by where patients live, a study has suggested.
Training given to teachers of children with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities will be improved, Alan Johnson, education secretary, has said. The pledge follows criticism from the Commons education select committee earlier this year that the education of these pupils was "not fit for purpose".
Commenting on NICE's announcement today that it will only approve access to certain Alzheimer's drugs for people in the moderate stages of the disease, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary, Sandra Gidley MP said:
